Austin Public Health data shows that there have been an average of 20.6 new hospitalizations per day over the past week in the Austin metropolitan area. That number moves Travis County up into coronavirus risk Stage 4 starting June 14, according to Austin Public Health guidelines.

According to Austin Public Health risk-based guidelines, Stage 3—which the county had been operating under since late March—allowed essential businesses and businesses reopened through state orders to operate, and residents are advised to use them with precautions. Under Stage 4, the county could move to restrict some operations for businesses that are not considered essential, and residents would be advised to only go to those essential businesses, according to the guidelines that can be found here.

June 14 saw 84 new coronavirus confirmations in Travis County, bringing the total number of cases to 4,545. There have been 104 coronaviruse deaths in the county, and an estimated 3,456 individuals have recovered. There are currently 129 hospitalized individuals in the metro.

There have been 847 new coronavirus cases over the past seven days.
