The meet will take place Wednesday through Saturday with men and women competing on alternating days. Select coverage of the meet will be packaged nightly onto broadcasts on ESPNU (Wednesday, Thursday) or ESPN (Saturday), while each field event will have a dedicated ESPN3 stream.
The Coyotes
Three pole vaulters and a high jumper make up the contingent of athletes South Dakota is sending to Track Town USA. The Coyotes' four qualifiers are the most by a Summit school and the seventh-most by a mid-major this year. Sophomore Eerik Haamer, sophomore Jaidyn Garrett, freshman Marleen Mülla and freshman Danii Anglin will all make their Hayward Field debut this weekend. Haamer and Mülla both garnered All-America recognition during the indoor season.
Mülla enters the meet with the ninth-best height in the women's pole vault this spring, while Garrett is 19th in the field. Mülla vaulted a personal best 14-6 (4.42m) at the South Dakota Challenge in April. Garrett's personal best of 13-9 ¾ (4.21m) came at the Beach Invitational in California, a trip that included a win at the Mt. SAC Relays and back-to-back PRs. Haamer sits 12th in the men's pole vault standings with a season-best of 18-0 ½ (5.50m) from the K.T. Woodman Classic at Wichita State.
Outside of the pole vault, the Coyotes are sending one representative in the high jump. Anglin had a personal best day at the NCAA West Preliminary, clearing a career-high 5-11 ¼ (1.81m) while not missing a single bar in the competition. The height ties her for 22nd in the field.
