Two people were killed in a car crash Sunday afternoon in Wake County.
According to North Carolina Highway Patrol, troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision on Old Stage Road just north of Barbour Store Road.
Highway Patrol said a 2022 GMC Acadia, driven by 53-year-old Angela Hinton of Willow Springs, was traveling south on Old Stage Road when it went left of center and into the path of a 2007 Chevy Suburban.
Both Hinton and 25-year-old Gilberto Galvan of Angier, who was driving the Suburban, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Four people inside the Suburban were taken to WakeMed. Their conditions are currently unknown.
Authorities said speed was not a factor and impairment is still under investigation.
