Come on man. Joe Biden continues to astound everyone with his ongoing displays of dazzling brilliance. Here’s the deal. Joe has been working on achieving an infrastructure spending plan with the US Senate. But the senate is evenly divided and ordinary political mortals would be flummoxed on how to please both sides. But not Joe. Joe encouraged a group of senators from both parties to come up with a compromise which proved to be unpopular with democrat progressives. So Joe put his massive brainpower into high gear and devised a way to make everyone happy.
First, Joe held a press conference with the compromise senators, lauding their efforts and offering his support for the plan. Shortly thereafter, he held a second press conference, explaining his intention to veto the plan he had just endorsed. Presto! Both factions of senators had won victories. Unity achieved just as Joe had promised. Pundits were flabbergasted that no previous president had ever devised such a simple yet ingenious scheme. Of course, a few disgruntled Republicans griped and groused, but it was little more than grudging admiration for Joe’s legislative legerdemain. In fact, even Joe’s staff and press secretary did not know how to react until the following day when they explained that Joe’s veto was not actually a real veto. I guess Joe had vetoed the veto. So, come on man. This is the kind of leadership that only Joe Biden can provide.
