The Giro di Sicilia has been one of the most important races on the calendar in Europe since 1907 with 2023 serving as the 27th edition of the event. In the previous 26 Giro di Sicillia events, an Italian cyclist has won 24 times with one American and one Belgian sneaking in for a win. This year through two stages New Zealand cyclist Finn Fisher-Black holds the lead over the rest of the field. He has a six second lead over the rest of the field entering the third stage in Enna-Termini Imerese and looks to hold on for a win. A win for him would be the first by a New Zealand cyclist at the Giri di Sicilia.

The second stage of the 2023 Giro di Sicilia went to Niccolo Bonifazio who helped close the gap on the lead entering the third stage.
In that second stage behind Bonifazio were Vincenzo Albanese, Blake Quick, Filippo Fiorelli and Damiano Caruso to round out the top five. All of those cyclists look to build on their success today during the third stage in Enna-Termini Imerese.
