Youth on Stage Open Mic event set to be a live event Monday, July 27, at the Brainerd Eagles Club, is canceled.
“The YOS Open Mic leadership has decided to cancel this month's event,” organizers stated in a news release. “The only thing we know for sure during this challenging time, is that things can be dynamic! We've decided the mandatory mask rule that will be newly in place on Saturday will leave us questioning too many logistics to comply with this indoor event and to be able to do so safely.”
Brainerd Elks Lodge 615 sponsors the event through an Elks National Foundation grant and by the Brainerd Eagles Club No. 215. This monthly youth-oriented event is geared for those age 25 and younger who have a family-friendly talent to share on a year-round basis.
