The Hollywood Bowl presented the first of two nights of its “July 4th Fireworks Spectacular at the Hollywood Bowl” concerts on July 3 to a crowd celebrating the nation’s holiday but also relishing once again the camaraderie of being with a large crowd of people enjoying a concert since Covid-19 restrictions have eased up.

The concert kicked off with a selection of patriotic music performed by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra with Thomas Wilkins conducting.

Kool & the Gang continued the evening’s fun with a selection of their hits that got concertgoers dancing at their seats.

The night was capped off with an impressive fireworks display that soared over the bowl’s iconic band shell.

The second night of the “July 4th Fireworks Spectacular” is on July 4. Check the website for ticket availability.
