Wherever Cole Godfrey is, she wants there to be art, color and glitter. Over 23 years of living in her Hillside neighborhood home in Troy, Cole has turned her home into exhibition space for local artists. She gives young artists her ceiling and walls as a canvas for murals and hangs artwork from local creators. I asked her if she ever paints over something or puts a piece in storage to make room for something else, and she said she finds room for everything.
"Every time I bring home something new, my husband says I'll never find a spot for it, but I always do," she said.
Godfrey is an artist herself, she makes jewelry. Wherever you see bedazzling in Godfrey's house - gems glued to a flat surface - that's Godfey's handiwork.
