Corey Medina & Brothers will bring raw, soulful blues-rock to the 2nd Street Stage on Thursday, Aug. 12.
The free concert runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on the second block of Main Avenue South in downtown Park Rapids. The beer garden and social hour starts at 5 p.m.
Medina moved to northern Minnesota in 2012 from the Navajo Tribal Nation in Shiprock, New Mexico. He debuted his first album in 2015 with a local producers’ collaboration called Incepticons. He now plays, writes and produces full-time with a band called the Brothers, named in honor of the relationship he maintains with his bandmates.
Current members of the Brothers are Eric Sundeen of Bemidji on drums and Gary Broste, also of Bemidji, on bass. The group released their first album, “Better Days,” in 2019, and recorded a second album this summer.
